3 Steps to Naturally Beautiful Skin

Did you know that today is the fist day of Autumn? Crazy.. I know. It feels like it was just last week that I was busy dusting off my bathing suits and hitting the beach. Now it’s time to drag out the fall fashions, and start drinking apple cider!

I love Autumn for many reasons…helloooo pumpkin spice everything! (Kidding… kinda) Apple picking.. cooler weather… my birthday… the list could go on but I’ll leave it at that. Except.. there’s one thing I hate about Autumn. Autumn means Winter is coming… and Winter coming means one thing for me: dry skin.

There is NOTHING worse than the dry/itchy skin that comes from the cooler weather. My skin is prone to eczema, and super sensitive to pretty much anything with fragrances or harsh ingredients.. which makes it pretty hard to shop for beauty products.

So what’s a girl to do?

Enter: Thesis Beauty. Remember them? I wrote about their products about a year ago in my Natural Beauty Review. If you read that post, you’ll see that I’ve tried SO many natural beauty products.. but this one wins my heart (and my skin) over EVERY time.

3 Steps to Naturally Beautiful Skin

So what’s so great about Thesis Beauty? Well for starters… on each bottle of their products, you’ll read the following things:

  • Organic
  • Pure Ingredients
  • Premium Quality
  • Vegan
  • No Bad Chemicals
  • No Cheap Fillers
  • No Synthetics’

Take a look around the grocery or convenience store.. do any of the products say that? Probably not!

So yes, their label passes the test.. but lets be real- We’ve all tried natural beauty products that quite frankly.. suck. There. I said it. You know the ones I’m talking about. The shampoo that leaves your hair feeling like straw, or soap leave a weird film on your skin… Whether you’ve tried to make it yourself (I’m the poster child for, or spend an un-godly amount at the store.. I KNOW you’ve had these experiences and I’m not alone.

So the question stands.. does this stuff actually work? My answer to you natural beauty product seeking friends is: YES. These products work so fantastically great that I’ve completely up hauled my beauty routine to the point that I only use these products during my nightly beauty regimen. And since doing so… I’ve have the softest, brightest skin – all fall/winter/spring/summer long.

I’m sure you want in on my secrets… and since I’m nice I’ll share with you. Here’s my 3 step Natural Beauty Routine.

I start my beauty routine by taking off my makeup with Rosemary Citrus Makeup Remover.

3 Steps to Naturally Beautiful Skin

I don’t wear too much makeup, so I really only need to use this on my eyes to get off my mascara/eye liner. It took me forever to find a makeup remover that I like. Most drug store brands burn the skin around my eyes. I tried using coconut oil.. but this is kind of messy. The makeup remover is made up from various oils like Jojoba, Apricot, Sunflower, Sweet Orange Essential, Spearmint Essential, Rosemary Essential Oils and Rosemary Extract. It smells heavenly! Once my eye makeup is totally off, I take a warm wet wash cloth and wipe my entire face off.

Step two is the Tender as Petals Face Cleanser. This cleanser is made of clay and various flowers, with instructions to mix the mask into a paste, apply, and let it sit on your skin. This cleanser is different from any other cleansers I’ve tried. Any other cleanser I’ve tested always burns, or is very rough on my skin. This mask is a little bit gritty, which helps scrub away dirt, but it is also so light you’d barely even know that it acts as a cleanser… Until you wipe it off.  I’m always amazed at how soft, smooth, and clean my skin is!

Then comes my last step, with my favorite product from Thesis Beauty- their Unscented Face Serum. As I mentioned before,  I have really sensitive skin. I stay away from using moisturizers with fragrances or dyes on my skin to begin with, but I’m especially careful with what I put on my face. Before finding Thesis Beauty I had tested out at least 20 different face moisturizers, they were all OK, but come Winter time they couldn’t keep up with my dry skin.

This serum is hands down 100% the best moisturizer I’ve tried. It doesn’t have any fragrances or dyes, and it is made with the most natural blend of ingredients – Apricot Kernel Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sunflower Oil, Grapesee Oil, Buckthorn Extract and Vitamin E. That’s it. Gone are the days of reading through a laundry list of ingredients in my beauty products. The last time I wrote about this face serum  I said “I’ve ditched my other creams and cleansers, and I’ll be sticking to this face serum for a while.”

That was back in January.. and I haven’t used another product since! Now that… is true green beauty love! (You can see how much I love it from how worn the label is! – LOL!)

I’m also a big fan of Thesis Beauty’s Lavender Fields Cream. I love to use this when I get out of the shower, or right before bed.. Lavender is one of my favorite scents, and it always makes me feel so calm. Using this cream + diffusing lavender essential oil = heaven!
