Natural Hair Products:
Shampoo: I have been using and loving Innersense Shampoo for almost a year now. I also like Desert Essence Lemon Tea Tree Shampoo. I have tried shampoo bars but didn’t really like them. I used Seed PhytoNutrients for a little but but I had a hard time rinsing it out of my hair and it left my hair feeling squeaky. I like Wellnesse Dry Shampoo!
Styling: I’ve finally swapped over all of my hair styling products to clean beauty brands. For straightening my hair I like to use Innersense spray for protectant. I like Innersense Whipped Cream Texturizer, I Create Hold Gel and I Create Lift for styling my curls. Giovanni Hair Spray works well!
I only wear make up once or twice a week, so I don’t have too many recommendations to share. I don’t use BeautyCounter and don’t like their products. I tried their foundation, eyeliner and eyeshadow and found they were overpriced and didn’t work well. I’m listing the makeup brands below that I have used and loved for years.
Eyeliner: Benefit Badgal Liner Waterproof is the best eyeliner I’ve tried. While this isn’t a ‘clean beauty’ brand it has minimal ingredients and works well!
Mascara: I LOVE Thrive Causemetics mascara and also their eye brightening pencil. Both are great! I like to use a coat of that and a coat of Benefit Roller Lash Mascara, which isn’t a ‘clean’ mascara. I’ve tried Mineral Fusion mascara and didn’t like it.
UnderEye Concealer: I like Bare Minerals Concealer for under my eyes. I also like Jones Road Beauty stick.
Eyeshadow: I rarely wear eye shadow but I like HAN Cosmetics when I do!
I don’t wear a ton of makeup but other people seem to like RMS Beauty or Jane Iredale.
Lotion/Soap: I use BeeDandy lotion and soap. The Lavender Body Butter is my favorite, and we love all of the soap’s that we have tried!
Scrubs: I make my own DIY Body Scrub. It’s easy, cheap, and works well!
Deodorant: I use Native Deodorant and Ursa Major deodorant. I find a combo of both is best for my sensitive skin/my body. Holly’s Keeping it Real and Humble are another great natural deodorant option!
Be Well is the only skincare that I use. I have extremely sensitive skin, and this works better than anything I’ve tried.
You can use code CLEANEATING for 10% off all of their products. (They have samples of everything!) I use their cleanser, toner and face cream every day but I love all of their products! You can read my Be Well Company Review to learn more about my favorite products!
I haven’t had a cavity in years and my dentist always says my teeth are super clean! You can find on Thrive Market, in Whole Foods or on Amazon.
I also love Wellnesse Charcoal Toothpaste. I use it once a week to keep my teeth white. Code CLEANEATING works sitewide.
Branch Basics: We clean our entire house with Branch Basics. We use it for our laundry, bathrooms, dish soap, counters and more. It works well and one concentrate makes all the cleaners we need. You can use code CLEANEATING for 10% off their products, and if you want to learn more about it check out this Branch Basics Review
