Yea. This is just as delicious as it looks and sounds. I don’t know why I didn’t make this any sooner! Growing up, cinnamon buns were always my favorite breakfast. We usually didn’t eat sugary breakfasts, but once in a while on the weekends + holidays my mom would let us have them as a treat. We typically would just make the ones that you buy in the refrigerated section at the grocery store and I remember the best part being the super sweet icing that you drizzled on top.
I probably haven’t had a cinnamon bun in about 5 years. As delicious as they are, I’d honestly be scared to see the ingredients list on the back of one of those store bought doughs… I’m sure they’ve got some scary things in there. I mean… don’t get me wrong, if you were to make one and put it in front of me I would have a really hard time saying no… but I might just be able to satisfy the temptation with these oats.
Pacific Oats recently released their new pre-cooked oatmeal and I’m kind of in love with it. Steel Cut Oats are my favorite, but I really hate cooking them. You either have to put them in the crockpot, or you have to let them cook on the stove forever.. which, really… who has time for that?! Not me. The pre-cooked oatmeal comes in basic unsweetened, but they also have some fun flavors like their lightly sweetened, maple & brown sugar, apple & cinnamon, and my favorite flax & chia power.

We’re both always looking for quick, easy breakfasts. Tyler usually eats his breakfast right at the office, or before he leaves for work. Sometimes instant oatmeal can be a pain to mix and add all your add ins – so we were really excited about these. The oatmeal has the exact same consistency + taste as oatmeal you would cook at home, minus all the mess!
The oatmeal is great on it’s own, but when you add in the vanilla yogurt + cinnamon honey swirls.. it’s seriously out of this world delicious. You’ll feel like you’re actually eating a cinnamon bun!
