In a large sauté pan over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil.
While the pan is heating, evenly coat the fish on all sides with the taco seasoning.
Add the fish to the pan and cook for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes, gently stir the fish and cook for 3 more minutes or until golden brown on all edges and cooked through. Once the fish is just about cooked, add the lime juice to the pan and gently stir the fish until the liquid reduces completely.
While the fish is cooking, prepare the salsa. In a small bowl, add the salsa ingredients and mix until combined. Set aside.
Warm the tortillas in a pan or microwave.
Assemble the tacos. Place a few spoonfuls of the fish in each tortilla and top with salsa and cilantro.
Notes
Halibut is my favorite fish to use in this recipe because it holds together well and has a delicious texture when pan searing. Cod works well too but it is a bit more flakey than the halibut and may fall apart when assembling the tacos.
