Holiday Gift Guide

It’s that time of the year…

You know…

When the mall becomes busier than the gym the day after New Years..

Gym Meme1

And tacky Christmas lights + blow up lawn ornaments begin to be displayed.

Christmas Lights

And the coffee shops start using those awful red cups (I kid).

And the ads telling you to just basically skip Thanksgiving dinner so that you can BUY ALL THE THINGS RIGHT NOW.

You’re probably thinking I’m like Scrooge.. but I swear I’m not. I actually love Christmas. I love spending time with my friends and family, giving presents, eating cookies, and even kinda sorta like the cold weather.

What I HATE about the holidays is the shopping. It’s like the week of Thanksgiving rolls around and suddenly everyone is in a crazed madness at the stores. So as of last week – I’m done. Unless I absolutely 100% need to… I’m not going to the mall, outlets, boutiques…nada. Instead- I’m doing every single bit of my Christmas shopping from the comfort of my couch.

I’ve got it all planned out.. I know exactly what I’m getting each person on my list, and I’ll be buying it this afternoon when all the prices are super low for Cyber Monday. If you’re on the hunt for the perfect gift for someone.. check out this holiday gift guide – there’s something for everyone!

Journal Menu – Whether a runner, cross fitter, cyclist, yogi.. Journal Menu makes custom workout journals for any type of activity. They’re reasonably priced, and you customize them to look exactly how you like. I put my favorite quotes and a kettle bell on mine! Use it every day 🙂

Resistance Bands – Resistance Bands are so versatile. They’re great to use in the gym, or to throw in your car or bag when traveling. They’re also super awesome if you’re trying to work up to unassisted pull-ups. This green band offers 50-100 lbs of resistance, but there are various levels/strengths.

FitSnack– New healthy snacks delivered to you every month. Perfect for people who like to try new things, but stay on track with their diet. This would be the perfect gift for someone who is planning to shift to a healthier lifestyle come the new year! With this link, you get $3 off a box.

Blender Bottle – You can never have too many of these guys. I use them for water, green smoothies, protein shakes, and just about anything else. They’re cheap and make a great stocking stuffer.

-Activity Trackers- I have a Fitbit One, but if you don’t mind wearing one on your wrist I’ve heard great things about the Fitbit Flex and the UP by Jawbone. Either way they all track your steps. The One doesn’t track your heart rate though, but you can barely tell it’s there.

Foam Roller

In my opinion.. everyone needs a Foam Roller & Muscle Stick Massager (Even if you don’t work out). Soooo good for sore muscles. Foam rollers are relatively cheap, and allow you to pretty much give yourself a massage. I try to spend 10 minutes everyday using mine!

-Everyone has been raving about the s’well water bottles. They keep your drinks hot for 12 hours, or cold for 24, which is pretty cool. I love this pink one.

-I love the Lulu Lemon Fly Away Tamer Headband… I have them in a bunch of colors and they’re so great for working out. They’re pretty much the only thing I can afford from Lululemon, and they’re totally worth the investment.

Healthy Chef

Spiralizer-A Spiralizer is a kitchen must have! If you are paleo, gluten free, or into raw foods.. this is the perfect tool to have! You can turn pretty much any veggie (or fruit) into a noodle! Even if you aren’t paleo, gluten free.. etc, it’s still fun to play with your food 🙂

-I use our Crock-Pot at least twice a week. It makes meal prep 100x easier and quicker! This is an awesome gift for someone who just bought a house or is moving.

-I love this Microplane Zester/Grater for adding in citrus zests, or grating cheese/ginger/chocolate to recipes.

-One of my absolute favorite purchases last year was this Wilton Nonstick Donut Pan. I make my protein donuts in it ALL the time!

– These Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mats make cookie baking soon easy. No wasting parchment paper.. or cleaning dirty cookie sheets!

Measuring Cups-These Collapsible Measuring Cups are super cool. Measuring cups take up quite a bit of space in the cabinets, so being able to flatten them is awesome. The same company also makes liquid measuring cups, which are equally as cool.

FlavorGod makes some of the best spices we have ever tasted. Their blends go great on just about anything.. from eggs in the morning to burgers at dinner time. They’re having a ridiculous Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale right now.

mark_jordanHungryRoot sent us some samples to try last month, and we fell in love with their products! They make spiralized meals that are pre-packaged. All you have to do is toss the noodles and sauces together and wa-la! You have tasty, veggie-loaded meal! Most of their products are gluten free and vegan. They also sell sweets like Chickpea Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough which is AMAZING! This would be such  fun gift for someone who is trying to start off their new year on a healthier note.. or just to treat yourself during the busy holiday season. You can use coupon code ‘CLEANEATING20’ for 20% off your purchase.

Rickaroons – These little treats are one of my favorite healthy desserts or snacks. They come in all different flavors, and they’re soo good! I love the Mocha one with a cup of coffee for an afternoon pick me up!

-Nut Butters – So so so darn yummy (but pricey) which makes them the perfect gift! My favorites are: Stuffum Naturals, You Fresh Naturals, Peanut Butter & Co, Peanut Principle. Check out their sites, because they’re all having holiday sales!

-I just learned about Club W the other day.. and I can’t wait to try it. For $39 a month you get 3 bottles of wine delivered to your door after filling out a ‘palate profile’ specific to you. I also came across this Corkcicle Classic Wine Chiller while shopping the other day.. would be such a cute gift to pair together

Cheese Board

This Slate Cheese Board also goes well with the Club W subscription. Or.. it’s just a cool thing to have. These are fairly inexpensive – so you could easily use this for a hostess gift when you’re going to holiday parties!

-I’ve written about Rocksbox in the past before. It’s a month subscription box that delivers unlimited amounts of jewelry to your door for $19 a month. You wear the jewelry as much as you like, and then either keep it + purchase it, or mail it back for new pieces! They’re also having a Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sale, and if you want to try it before you buy it (for yourself, or someone else) you can use this link + the coupon code ‘thecleaneatingcouplexoxo’ for a free month 🙂

Happy Planner

While we all love our handy iPhone calendars – some people like to keep it old school and use a real day planner. I just use a bloom planner, but I’ve heard awesome things about  The Happy Planner and the Erin Condren planners. You can also buy tons of stickers, add in pages, and fun markers to dress up the planners!

-You can never have too many phone cases. My mom has bought me a new Case Studio phone case since I first got my iPhone! They’re super cute, and I love that you can customize them any way you want. I usually get a monogram on the back of mine, but you can do pretty much anything! They always have deals on Groupon – which is also having a huge Cyber Monday sale. Makes for a really fun gift 🙂

Scarves are also another fun gift idea. Even though I have waaaay too many, I’m always happy to accept more 🙂 We just got a Charming Charlies in our town, and they have the best colors and patterns for scarves.. Plus they’re really cheap (So you can buy more than 1 😉 )

-These Whiskey Chilling Rocks are really cool, and really cool for anyone who loves whiskey, scotch, or any other liquor. They keep your drink cold without watering it down!

-Ties, Tie Bars, Fun Socks & Other Accessories are fun gifts for guys. I ordered from The Tie Bar last year for Tyler. I bought him a few ties, tie bars, socks and underwear. Everything was super cheap, and has held up great! Totally recommend it for your stylish man friends 🙂

Beer Cap Map

Tyler’s gram bought him this Beer Cap Map last week, and I think it is the coolest thing! He has one that is a map of the US, and another that is a cut out of Connecticut. They have them for all the states. We’re working on filling ours up, slowly but surely 🙂

Annnnd there ya have it!  Do you have any other suggestions for gifts ? I still have a few people I need to buy for!

Lol! I have most of the things on it, but I’m always looking to grow my at home gym, or add new things to my gym stuff 🙂

  1. I usually do most of my Christmas shopping online as well, from Amazon because… prime shipping! Great list, I have a spiralizer that I use frequently and love.
Emily @ Zen & Spice recently posted…Cheesy Chili Beef RigatoniMy Profile

Same!! Isn’t Amazon prime the best thing ever?! I bought the spiralizer years ago, and I use it all the time!

Just discreetly drop him an email.. LOL!

  2. I’m doing about 50%/50% for my shopping. 50% online and 50% in store. I wasn’t going to go Black Friday shopping, but I did go later with my sisters. The best part? Spending time with my sisters. 🙂 My favorite shopping is DEFINITELY online, although I like shopping if you get to go with people you love! :))0

Thanks! I stay as faaaar away from the shops as I can. Definitely use the crockpot more.. you’ll love it.

  5. These are great ideas! Ha ha, still cracking up over your opening lines and memes 🙂 I totally feel ya – I always end up scrambling at the last minute! So I love gift guides like this. I’m trying Rocksbox for the first time, so we’ll see how that goes, but it definitely would make a fun gift! Also that beer cap map is AMAZING!! What a cool idea!
