The healthiest oatmeal you can make is oat groats, however, they’re more complex to cook and not as easy to find. Old fashioned oatmeal, instant oatmeal, and steel cut oatmeal are all similar in terms of nutritional value.
The best way to cook oatmeal is with a little bit of milk, some fresh fruit or a touch of sweetener like honey or maple syrup. You can make our egg white oatmeal if you’re looking for more protein!
