This easy baked peaches recipe is so easy to make and such a delicious after dinner treat!

This recipe is light and healthy, using just maple syrup and a little cinnamon to add some flavor to these baked peaches.

After dinner treats don’t have to be filled with sugar and high in fats.

Seasonal ripe peaches caramelized in the oven are absolutely delicious and there are endless options for additions like topping them with chopped walnuts, peanuts, or light and airy whipped cream. This is a delicious gluten-free dessert that your friends and family will love!

Tyler’s Tips for the Best Baked Peaches

  • Make sure to get ripe peaches that are preferably in season. In season summer peaches will be flavorful and sweeter, making all of the natural sugars come to life after baking them in the oven for a bit.
  • When cutting peaches, slice in half along the pit, then twist. You can use a paring knife or a spoon to scoop out the pit!

substitutions

Peaches: You could use nectarines and plums if peaches are not available. Most stone fruit will work as alternatives for the peaches. Please note that they may cook quicker, so the baking time may need to be reduced by a few minutes.

Butter: Butter is recommended, but you could use coconut oil, ghee, or extra virgin olive oil if needed. Use coconut oil or olive oil to make this a dairy-free recipe.

Maple Syrup: Honey is a great substitute for maple syrup. Brown sugar or molasses can be options as well, but we prefer to use maple syrup or honey for this recipe.

Cinnamon: Nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, or cardamom could also be great additions to this recipe.

Salt: The salt balances the sweetness and adds some depth of flavor; you can omit the salt if needed.

  1. Wow! This looks amazing! Could you make this in the air fryer on the days it is too hot to turn the oven on?

    1. Thank you! I’m sorry but I don’t use an air fryer so I’m not sure how to convert it! I’m sure it would work but I’m not sure of times/temp. Wish I could be more help but I don’t even own one 🙁
