I never thought I’d be someone who admits they love pre-made meals AND is writing a whole blog post about it- but here we are!
When I first tried Kevin’s at a trade show a few years ago, I immediately fell in love. Pre made meals and sauces with awesome ingredients and minimal work? SO into it!
I am not someone that really ever eats or buys pre-made food. Sure, sauces and seasonings.. occasionally some deli meat.. but frozen meals? Nope.
I didn’t grow up eating that way, and most pre-made meals are…. not good. (In terms of taste, texture, and ingredients.. all of it is underwhelming to me) Kevin’s on the other hand.. is TOTALLY different!
What is Kevin’s Natural Foods?
Kevin’s is a paleo friendly food company that makes awesome pre-made, ready to eat entrees, sauces and seasonings. All of their products are gluten free and Paleo Certified.
Some of the products are keto friendly and most are dairy free (some use ghee). Many of their sauces are vegan/vegetarian friendly.
Their heat and eat entrees are my favorite product!

Why I love Kevin’s Natural Foods
We are huge fans of Kevin’s Natural Foods. I think that the quality, taste, and convenience is amazing. Here’s why we love it:
Convenience: All of Kevin’s products save me time and are super convenient. The entrees are great for those busy days when you don’t have time to cook lunch or meal prep. The sauces/seasonings are perfect for when you want to make a delish meal but don’t know what to add to it!
Taste: The meals, sauces, and spices all taste great. Obviously, I have high standards for food. The flavors of the sauces are so good! The chicken is perfectly cooked and not bouncy at all!
Quality: The quality of the food is awesome. The chicken is all white meat chicken breast, it’s not fatty, and you get a lot of food! I wish the chicken was organic but it is antibiotic free!
Why I love Kevin’s Natural Foods
What we don’t like:
Meat not being organic.
Higher sodium content.
Both of these things don’t deter me from enjoying them. I usually just use a little less sauce on my meals and try to be mindful of the salt I consume for the rest of the day! Since we aren’t eating the meat every day – I don’t worry about it.
How do you serve Kevin’s Natural Foods?
I serve Kevin’s with frozen broccoli that I warm and rice as pictured here.
You could serve it with cauliflower rice or potatoes if you’re paleo!
Here are some other recipes that would pair well with Kevin’s meals:
- Garlic Roasted Brussels Sprouts
- Balsamic Mushrooms
- Healthy Green Beans Almondine
- Garlic Thyme Crispy Sweet Potatoes
- Any of these 20 Paleo Side Dishes
Our Favorite Kevins’s Products:
My favorite entrees from Kevin’s are:
- Korean BBQ Chicken
- Roasted Garlic Chicken
- Teriyaki Chicken
Kevin’s Natural Foods Packaging:
When you order online Kevin’s food comes packaged in a cooler with ice packs.
The entrees come in a plastic tray. In the plastic tray is a sealed pouch with chicken and a sealed pouch with sauces. There is a cardboard seal around the packaging and it is wrapped in plastic.
Where can you get Kevin’s Natural Foods?
You can find Kevin’s in many stores. They are sold in Whole Foods & Costco near me!
Store Locator: Check their store locator to see where they are sold near you.
Website: The easiest place to find Kevin’s is on their website. You can use code CLEANEATING to save $$

How long does Kevin’s Last?
I’ve taken this info right from the Kevin’s Natural Foods Website
Heat & Eat Entrées: These can be stored in the freezer or in the fridge (good for 30 days from delivery).
Is Kevin’s Natural Really Healthy?
In my opinion, yes they are! When compared to many of the other frozen/premade meals out there Kevin’s has:
- more protein (20g per serving on average!)
- less sodium (50% less than some of the other brands I have tried)
- less fat (Some other paleo meals had over 40g of fat per serving
When you pair Kevin’s with some veggies and a starch (potatoes or rice) you have a really well balanced, affordable meal!
Is Kevin’s Natural Organic?
Unfortunately, Kevin’s is not organic. I wish it was! Since we don’t eat these every day, I don’t worry about it too much. They are paleo/keto certified, gluten free certified, and delicious!
We love Kevin’s and would recommend it to anyone who wants to eat healthy but is short on time & doesn’t want to cook. Click here to try Kevin’s and use code CLEANEATING for 15% off

I recently had two of Kevin’s Frozen entrees. Both of them were horrible!!!! One of them didn’t even look like the photo I think the wrong thing was in the box. It was the orange chicken. No sauce white dried chicken very awful! The other was an Italian dish can’t remember the name of it but the so call marinade or tomato sauce tasted like brown gravy. Truly bad experience I won’t buy any more of his items unless they improve.

I began buying Kevin’s after being dissatisfied with a number of gluten-free products which met my celiac sufferer’s needs.
I have found every Kevin’s entree to be enjoyable and have never had a digestive issue from eating one of them.
If they found a cure for celiac, I would still be eating Kevin’s often!

Is the chicken dish the only one available? Would like to see others, if there are more. I am not a big chicken fan. Prefer pork and beef.
The Clean Eating Couple says
No – there are tons of options on their site. Click here to check it out.

I just bought a package of Kevins Lemongrass Chicken. And ate one of the two serving inside
For what is was , it very decent. The chicken was cooked beautifully. Moist and Nice size pieces of
white meat breast. But still the chicken was not as high quality as organic, which I usually eat. Commercial non organic chicken is lacking in flavor. But – The sauce was a nice consistency.
But I felt it was bland. I added some red boat fish sauce
and some fresh lemon juice. Little cilantro on top. That worked.
The Clean Eating Couple says
So glad you liked it! Their sauces are pretty high in sodium so I wouldn’t recommend adding fish sauce. But I’m glad it worked for you!
Kaitlin says
It took me a LONG time to pull the trigger on trying Kevin’s for the same reasons- I love to cook so why would I use a premade sauce or pre-cooked chicken? And not to mention, it can be a bit pricey at $10/entree at most local stores. However, I’m freaking HOOKED in a way I thought that I would never be. They make busy nights so much easier with the entrees and the sauces I love to load with veggies and chicken when I have it on hand. Thank you so dang much for introducing me to them!!
The Clean Eating Couple says
So so happy you like them, Kaitlin! They’re so great for a quick meal!

While I enjoy several of the Kevin’s Meal entrees. I find their packaging to be problematic. The plastic tray the food comes in does not come with a lid or any real way to re-use the tray, not even to store left -overs. After eating a week’s worth of food, you have accumulated a significant pile of plastics trays. I love the convenience but the packaging will force me to make these meals a once in a while type of thing.
The Clean Eating Couple says
Hi April – I wish they had a way to seal them, but that would just be more plastic to have a lid on them. Unfortunately the problem with all convenience foods is that it’s hard to create something that is convenient, low waste, and made with good ingredients. There often has to be a trade off. We don’t eat Kevin’s every day so we don’t mind recycling the trays for the few that we eat!
