Healthy Veggie Dip is easy to make in under 5 minutes with only a few simple ingredients. This greek yogurt dip is perfect for snacking on!

It’s no secret we love healthier appetizers/dips — Buffalo Chicken Dip, Taco Dip, Onion Dip, and Crockpot Chicken Wings are just a few of our favorites.
This veggie dip has quickly become a favorite because it just couldn’t be easier to make. It takes only 5 minutes to put together and it’s as simple to make as mixing greek yogurt with some spices!
Thanks to the Greek yogurt base, it’s a healthier snack option because it’s low calorie (just over 30 calories per ¼ cup), low fat, and high protein (5g per serving) when compared to traditional ranch or cream cheese based dips.
liz’s tips for healthy veggie dip

- When serving, be sure to provide a variety of dippers!
Ingredients

SUBSTITUTIONS
Yogurt: I have not tried this recipe with anything but nonfat Greek yogurt. I think that non dairy yogurt would work but can’t be sure without trying it.
Herbs: We like to use dried herbs in this dip because we always have them on hand. You can substitute fresh herbs in this recipe and it will taste just as good! Use double the amount of fresh herbs that you would dried herbs.
How to make Healthy Veggie Dip

- In a bowl, combine all ingredients until combined.

- Serve with veggies of your choice and enjoy this delicious snack/appetizer!
Best Veggies for Dipping
Pretty much any veggie goes well with dip, but here are some of our favorites:
- cucumbers
- celery
- snack peppers/bell peppers
- baby carrots
- broccoli/cauliflower
- cherry tomatoes
- snap peas
- really anything you can think of!

How to Store
Storing: This veggie dip will store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. We recommend pressing saran wrap on top of it to create a seal so it doesn’t get a film on top of it
Freezing: You can’t freeze this vegetable dip. Yogurt does not freeze well and can separate.
Make ahead: You can make this veggie dip ahead of time if you’re bring it to a party. It will hold up just fine in the refrigerator.
Other Snacks to eat with this Dip
You can dip all kinds of things in this keto veggie dip, and it’s even a fun addition to a charcuterie board. Here are some of our favorite things:

I was skeptical having yogurt as a veggie dip but I tried it. The first thing I said to myself when I tried it was “holy shit this is good!” True story. So glad I found this recipe!
Hello Liz & Tyler… I love your Veggie Dip recipe. I have all those spices on hand always in my spice cupboard. I myself, share easy healthy recipes as well, to every one I know; especially your recipes. They’re just what people need to use these, to get & stay healthy! – (*_*)
Thanks, I will try this, with some red, yellow and orange peppers/
Ok, so I made a few changes but only because I didn’t have the ingredients on hand.
Firstly, I hate dill so that was never going into the recipe 🙂
Secondly, I didn’t have any basil and I only had a small amount of parsley left, so I added what parsley I did have and then I added dried chives. I also added some garlic and herb seasoning mix (Mingle brand) to make up for the missing basil.
This is delicious. I love how customizable it is – add or subtract to your taste. Yes, It is very yoghurt forward, so I would be wary of making this if you don’t like the taste of greek yoghurt.
That being said – this is going to be my go to moving forward. Thanks so much 🙂
O-M-G!!! This is soooo guwd! Yummy! I can use this in a vegan or dairy recipe.
THANK YOU! I’m on a dietary cleanse & going to take this and some veggies to snack on at a gathering tomorrow!
This recipe is amazing I absolutely love it! Was trying to find something a bit healthier than sour cream dip and this is definitely it! I do have some advice for those of you who are complaining about the overpowering flavor of the yogurt. This is a yogurt-based dip so it will have a yogurt flavor though there are a couple things you can add that will tone down the flavor. One being double the onion powder this might give it a more onion flavor but it’s not overpowering and will help. You could also do half yogurt half sour cream this will make it not taste as much like yogurt. Lastly instead of doing sour cream you could add a teaspoon (or to your taste) of olive oil. If you do the olive oil one, I’d recommend adding extra spices and you can’t even taste the yogurt.
Loved this recipe!!! Versus my old with mayo and low fat sour cream. Saved so many calories and was tasty.
For an extra lemony flavor, I added 1/4 tsp of ground coriander. I could have added a squeeze of lemon juice, but I wanted the dip to last longer in the fridge and thought the lemon juice may go bad faster than the rest of the dip… Don’t know if that’s a correct assumption, but it sure is a tasty and healthy veggie dip!
Thanks for sharing this recipe!
I wouldn’t add lemon juice to this because I’d be worried that it would curdle over time!
What about adding a supplemental protein, such as Vital Protein collagen, to boost the protein in the dip?
I haven’t tried that. I’m not sure if it would make the dip gritty. If you try it let me know!
If you like the taste of the yogurt then you will love this. Otherwise, I would skip this recipe. The yogurt flavor was too much — I went back and doubled the spices and still way too much yogurt. Went straight into the garbage.
Sorry you gelt that way, Ken. Seeing that the main ingredient is yogurt, there is no amount of spice that is going to take away that flavor!
Bitter and not tasty at all
In fairness the Greek yogurt over powers the spices
We doubled the spices and still way to much yogurt flavour
Maybe some lemon juice and a bit of grated cucumber
Any ways live and learn
I was hesitant to try because other plain yogurt recipes lacked taste. I made this for todays Chiefs Super Bowl and it tastes great. Lots of flavor, very easy. I am excited for everyone to try it today!!!!!🥦🥕🥒🫑
Another outstanding recipe, Liz! I decided on a whim that I wanted to dip some vegetables for lunch so whipped this up quickly. Since all the ingredients are staples at my house, I didn’t have to worry about missing anything vital or needing a trip to the store. Came together quickly and tastes great!
So glad you liked it, Jennifer! Thank you!
This dip is perfection. Light and rich with flavor.
So glad you liked it!
