If you’re a ranch lover, you have to try this Healthy Ranch Dressing!

It’s creamy, flavorful, and takes less than 5 minutes to make with simple, wholesome ingredients you can actually pronounce.

We love it on just about everything—drizzled over salads, as a dip for fresh vegetables or crockpot chicken wings, or even as a creamy marinade.

It’s one of our go-to salad dressing recipes because it’s easy, versatile, and seriously delicious!

Liz’s tips for the best ranch dressing

  • Use Fresh Lemon Juice: For the best tangy flavor, opt for freshly squeezed lemon juice rather than store-bought varieties, as fresh juice enhances the dressing’s taste.
  • Store in a Mason Jar for Easy Use: Keep your dressing in a Mason jar with a lid. It makes it easy to shake and serve, plus it’s perfect for storage!

Substitutions

Nonfat Greek Yogurt: Any plain yogurt would make a great substitute in this recipe with a 1:1 substitute. Cottage cheese can also be used as a substitute, but we will warn you the texture will change!

Garlic Powder: Fresh minced garlic can be used instead of powder in this recipe

Onion Powder: Freshly diced onion, shallots, or onion salt also work in this dressing

Lemon Juice: We recommend only using freshly squeezed lemon juice in this recipe. Store bought juice will alter the flavor.

I love it! The lemon adds freshness with the recipe. Thank you!

Delicious! Skipped water, used A2 full fat Greek yogurt which made it an excellent veggie dip.

Great recipe! I have never really found a recipe that was healthy and tasty, but now I make this weekly! It’s not exactly the typical ranch flavor, but it is a great substitute for a healthy alternative. I reduce the garlic powder by half and add a little honey, just my personal taste :).

    Thanks for another great recipe!

Thank you I enoyed it, I also added some olive oil instead of water and it was perfect. Great recipe

  5. Teri Tommet says:

Can I make this as a powder in bulk and use as needed? If so, how much does the above recipe make if only using the powdered items?
    Thanks

    1. I’m sorry but I really don’t understand what you mean by this. Are you asking about mixing the dried spices? I’ve never done that. I’m sorry but I don’t know. Maybe you can look up a dried ranch mix instead!

Very Delicious, great for dipping pretzels & vegetables in or simply just using it as a salad dressing. I definitely recommend this!!

  9. I made this 12/31/23 and it doesn’t seem quite as good as when I made it earlier in the year, or possibly 2022. Did you update the recipe? Or do you have another ranch recipe? I know I used the recipe with Greek yogurt.

I wanted to love it but it just wasn’t for me. It was way too tangy with Costco Greek yogurt. It mellowed out after a few days but it was not the ranch flavor I was looking for. I did like how easy it came together with things I already had on hand.

I agree. Something was missing. Kind of bland. Maybe sugar? Guess it’s a bit too healthy for me! LOL

      1. Sorry you felt that way. Sugar doesn’t belong in ranch dressing 🙂 It would make it gritty

It works definitely does not compare to original ranch dip/dressing, but this works for me as a healthy alternative during the week. I’ll still make original as well. I give a four star

  16. Hi. The substitution section mentions oil but I see no oil in the ingredients. Am I missing something?

    1. The Clean Eating Couple says:

Sorry – this was just a typo!

      1. Have you ever made this in bulk and froze it? I’m wondering what it would be like after it thawed?
