liz’s top tip for honey mustard dressing
- Store in a mason jar to easily shake up if there is any separation from storing in the fridge.
Ingredients

Substitutions
Olive Oil: You can use avocado oil in place of olive oil. We don’t recommend using canola or other oils for dressings.
Honey: We have only tried this recipe using honey, but maple syrup would also work as a sweetener in place of honey.
White Wine Vinegar: Apple Cider Vinegar would also work as a 1:1 substitute.
Whole Grain Mustard: Any form of whole or ground mustard will work in this recipe. You can use yellow, whole grain, dijon mustard, etc.
Lemon: If you like lemon, try this Zesty Honey Lemon Dressing
How to Make Honey Mustard Dressing

- In a bowl or mason jar add all ingredients.
- Whisk vigorously to combine.
Note: You can blend this dressing, but I prefer to whisk it to keep the mustard grains intact.
Is Honey Mustard Dressing Healthy?
Honey mustard dressing is popular for being sweet and tangy, but not necessarily healthy. Generic store bought versions of this dressing are high in fat and added sugar.
This healthy honey mustard dressing is the perfect healthy alternative! Plus, it tastes just like the ‘real’ thing!

Storage
Storing: This will last in the refrigerator for up to 4 days in an airtight container.
Note on separation: Separation may occur when stored in the fridge. Use a spoon or whisk to stir together again to reconstruct the dressing.

This is a delicious blend of sweet and sour. I am hypertensive, so I eliminated the salt (mustard is salty). Also, I used the mustard I had on hand, which was a combination of yellow and brown! The texture is smooth and pleasing. I know that messing with recipes alters expected results, but this one seems to rise above tampering! I will make this again. Thank you!
Glad the substitutions worked!
Absolutely delicious! A new favorite! And so easy! I think dijon would work too if you don’t have whole grain mustard. Definitely give this one a try!!😋😋😋
I love making my own salad dressings and this one may have just become my favorite! It’s delicious!
