With the new year, many people are looking to make a shift in their dietary habits to move towards better health. We know how hard it can be to stick to a healthy diet if you’re on the go. In college we would be eating our food out of containers in between classes and trying to squeeze in snacks while walking from building to building. Over the years – we’ve searched high + low for some of the best portable snacks. We’ve tried them all + rounded up our favorites. We hope they’ll help you pack some killer snacks to keep you satisfied throughout the year!
IDK about you guys – but I always crave sweets. Even though I stay away from refined sugar, I have always had a major sweet tooth. Usually after I eat lunch or dinner I want to have a little sweet snack. The problem is that most sweets are super carb heavy and typically have no protein at all. I was so excited when Enjoy Life Food announced that they were coming out with these ProBurst Bites. They have 6-7 g of plant based protein per serving, and they honestly taste like chocolate truffles. Usually I don’t like things that have added protein to them, especially plant based protein. They tend to have a chalky taste + usually just aren’t good. These totally don’t have that problem! When I first tried them I couldn’t believe they had added protein.
I love these because they don’t have any artificial ingredients, and they’re free of the top eight most common allergens. Even though I don’t have any allergies- I have a few friends and family members that do. I always try to be mindful of them when I’m buying snacks! RX Bars are pretty much the only protein bar I eat. I love that what you see is what you get with these bars.
