Recipe Substitutions
Chicken Breasts: We haven’t tried this recipe with boneless chicken thighs or chicken tenders, but I think it would work great. You might need a little less time depending on the cut of the chicken. Chicken breasts with the bone on will take longer to cook. For bone in chicken thighs, try this Crispy Baked Chicken Thighs Recipe. For chicken legs, try our Baked Chicken Legs.
Olive Oil: You can substitute avocado oil or melted butter.
Spices: Any spices will work in this recipe. Feel free to substitute whatever seasonings you like!
Grilled Chicken: We love our Pineapple Grilled Chicken, BBQ Chicken Breast, and Grilled Teriyaki Chicken recipes!
We love this instant-read thermometer for checking the internal temperature to make sure your meat is cooked thoroughly!
How To Bake Boneless Chicken Breasts
- Clean excess fat off of the chicken breasts using kitchen scissors.
- Using a meat mallet, pound the chicken until it reaches about 1 inch thickness. You can wrap the chicken in plastic wrap or use a large ziploc bag to keep your kitchen clean.
- Preheat oven to 425° and place chicken breast on a parchment lined sheet pan, you can also use a baking dish.
- Rub chicken breasts with oil and cover them with the spice mixture on both sides, this will give your chicken some great flavor.
- Bake for 15 minutes and ENJOY!

Made this for the second time last night with Cajun seasoning this time and it was perfect. So juicy and with this Texas heat – I appreciate the quick cooking time. Less time with the oven on is a plus.

It was delicious and healthy. I used smoked paprika and just sprinkled on the seasonings without measuring.

How can there be 13 grams of fat in one chicken breast
The Clean Eating Couple says
The serving size isn’t for one chicken breast, it’s for 6 oz of cooked chicken. 1 lb of chicken cooks down to roughly 12 oz of chicken. This recipe has 2 servings, so it’s 6 oz of cooked chicken per serving. Chicken breast, although very lean, does have some fat in it. About 10-12g per 1 lb. There’s also 1 tablespoon of olive oil in the recipe (14g fat) so 14+12= 26/2 = 12g of fat per serving. The nutrition facts are just an estimate. Feel free to calculate them however you like!

This recipe is fool proof. Cooks you must beat these breast thin. It’s delicious beyond measure. Smashed fingerling potatoes and salad is the perfect pairing. Water to drink. It’s hot hot outside. 7/22/23
